Meet Patrick Pride!
Born & raised in Richmond, Virginia, Patrick discovered his love and passion for dance during his adolescence years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Austin Peay State University in 2018 as the Gonfalon Holder for the College of Arts & Letters.
After graduating, Patrick performed in various musicals around Tennessee, was a member of Found Movement Group (a Contemporary-based dance theatre company in TN), and taught at a local dance studio part-time. During the summer of 2020, Patrick moved to NYC to further pursue his dance career, and even the pandemic didn’t stop him from receiving work. He performed in a music video, dance projects and choreographed Lion King Jr. for a theatre. He even performed for a Brooklyn dance company, AP Dance Inc. that recently won the Special Mention award for the 2021 Global Shorts Awards.
Surprisingly, Patrick became viral back in April of 2022 for his side gig (The Ride NYC) dancing along the sidewalk of NYC! Patrick Pride also danced for Skin Dance Company in their production of Josephine’s Cotton Reimagined as a Featured Dancer & the Tina Turner Muse and their newest dance work: Crowe. Currently, he is a member of the New York Baroque Dance Company since 2022. With the company, he has performed at the Kennedy Center in the following operas: Leandre et Hero, and Les Fêtes de Thalie.
Patrick Pride has been described as a passionate, hardworking individual who’s professionalism shines when he is onstage!
